How long delivery takes

Standard delivery anywhere in South Africa takes 3 to 7 business days from the day your order leaves us. Plenty of orders arrive well before that. We quote the full range deliberately, because we would rather beat the estimate than apologise for it, and a parcel landing on day three is a common outcome rather than a lucky one.

Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

When your order goes out

Orders placed before 13:00 on a business day are packed and handed to the courier the same day. Orders placed after 13:00, over a weekend, or on a public holiday go out the next business day.

You will get an email confirming your order straight away, and a second email with tracking details once the courier has collected it.

What delivery costs

Standard delivery is R85 per order. Orders of R750 or more are delivered free.

Where we deliver

We deliver to residential and business addresses across South Africa, including most outlying towns. Farms, smallholdings and some rural addresses can take longer, or may need to be collected from the nearest town depot. If that applies to your address we will contact you rather than let the parcel sit.

We do not currently ship outside South Africa.

Receiving your parcel

  • Someone needs to be at the delivery address to receive and sign for the parcel. Couriers will not leave electronics unattended.
  • Give a phone number you actually answer. If the driver cannot find the address, they call. An unanswered phone is the single most common reason a delivery is delayed by a day.
  • Inspect the box before you sign. If it is crushed, torn or open, write that on the courier’s device or waybill and email us the same day with photographs. A clean signature makes a damage claim far harder to win, so those thirty seconds matter.

Incorrect or incomplete addresses

Please check your delivery address at checkout, including the complex or unit number. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong or incomplete, or because nobody was available after the courier’s attempts, we will gladly send it out again once the second delivery fee is covered.

Delays outside our control

Now and then a parcel is held up by something neither we nor the courier can prevent: severe weather, road closures, depot backlogs, strike action, or the Black Friday and December peaks. We will pass on whatever the courier tells us, and we will chase it with them on your behalf.

Something not right?

If tracking has not moved for more than two business days, or the delivery window has passed, email hello@boltage.co.za with your order number and we will take it up with the courier.
